At Risk Pass we know that prevention is better than cure and it all starts at the front gate with Risk Pass.
Risk Pass has been developed in close consultation with business owners and used by businesses with multiple properties, growing multiple commodities.
We have worked with professionals for expert advice on Workplace Health and Safety and Biosecurity legislation. Risk Pass will support local and regional businesses through purchasing of signage requirements for properties.
The Risk Pass product is backed with services to support continuous improvement in biosecurity and workplace health and safety.
Risk pass can help mitigate threats to your property/site.
Some examples of these threats include:
Ange Hutchinson
Why is workplace health and safety and biosecurity important to me? Agriculture is the leading statistic on fatalities and injuries in Australia. Unfortunately, my family including myself and my friends, are included in these statistics and I am passionate about helping change this.
80% of agriculture businesses are family owned. Family owned businesses are less likely to be resourced to work through the complexities of legislative requirements and follow that through to managing people.
The very real impact not only on people and families in agriculture is the threat of losing income or increasing expenses over a biosecurity incident. On average, in Queensland, businesses spend $24,000 (excluding labour and machinery) per year on weed and pest management. This cost is much higher if you include labour and machinery costs.
The business impacts of workplace incidents can be reputational damage, financial penalties and worst of all jail time for key people in the business. Other costs not generally considered are those of lost time due to injury or illness which reduce business efficiency. The event of a fatality or permanent disability of anyone in a family or community has a huge ongoing impact for everyone.
Raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Life Flight are important charities that I support personally for those moments that matter.
Risk Pass Director Ange Hutchinson has been working in agriculture her whole career. Whether in the paddock, finance, business advisory or in agricultural board positions.
A QR code (Quick Response Code) is a kind of barcode that can be scanned by a smartphone camera. They can be used to link to interfaces for websites, forms, contact details.

The experience so far is “no”! Visitors accept that this is a commercial reality of business. Ease of use and a higher level of anonymity as opposed to paper sign in are key benefits of the Risk Pass.
In the unlikely event of a biosecurity or workplace health and safety incident, the business owner is required to make contact and/or provide visitor information to third parties (e.g. Workcover, Biosecurity QLD).
General trend information will be used to support adoption and make improvements to ensure the capture of all visitors (Eg: average time to complete check in, number of log ins per week).
Information cannot be used for any other purpose than directly managing an incident or to meet audit requirements.
Data is stored by Risk Pass Pty Ltd and encrypted before transferring to business owners or regulators if required.
